Since 2023, I have created a screen-printed banner every year—a personal ritual. This time, I wanted to challenge the impossible with just two words: “万岁（Long Live）.”

In the context of a New Year, these words are stripped of their usual weight. To me, they represent a poetic devotion to time and the stubborn act of living. A romantic hallucination.

​

It is a shout—as pure as the end of the world, yet eternally bright. It celebrates the choice to love and to exist, even in the shadow of the void. Two words, so simple they are almost naive, giving everything without calculation.

This New Year, I reclaim these words for myself, for my lovers, for my friends, and for you: To have the defenseless courage of a child. To love the "now."
